Rachel Sherman is a professor of sociology at the New School in New York. She wrote a book about how rich people spend their money, called uneasy street. Her research involved interviewing 50 parents who were all in the top 2%, mostly in the top 1%. The people she talked to made anywhere from $250,000 a year to over $10 million.
