Death and Religion - Is That Really Dead?

In the very first edition of encyclopaedia britannica, death was called the separation of the soul and the body. It gives us a snapshot about how closely humanity's views of death are tied up with historic religious views. Medical advances have made it tougher to determine that point where death is just absolute - right where it actually occurs. The technology we have today will look barbaric in comparison one day.
