The Obscenity of Disasters

When something appears discordant, terrifying, horrible to us, it is as if we are looking at a painting, the painting being the universe. We live in the middle of such a catastrophe. It makes you think why we don't talk more about it. The sad lesson is that there is always some political strategic calculation behind it. But what I want to say, when we witness such a tragedy, let's say Auschwitz, Holocaust, you can feel that it's in a way obscene to say "We're too close"
