There are no benefits without cost, meaning creativity versus learning. If we didn't know how to make categories very quickly and had to depend on new learning every day, we'd never advance beyond that new learning. We need to categorize, but any kind of categorization has error in it. And so you have to adopt and incorporate learned knowledge.
