A lot of our focus in the book is about is kind of under the hood. So a behavioral scientist will come and say neoclassical preferences that you found in these various models. It turns out humans don't really work that way. And so it's harder for for norms and morality more broadly to take that kind of intervention into account. We're very good at incorporating exactly the same evidence, if it's in our favor, but not if it's not in our favor. They can show that controlling for how difficult it is to do something, really it's whether something is in the person's favor that's determining whether they believe it or not.
