In Townsend case, the wife said she thought it was possibly a black man. So now you have across two cases witnesses saying possibly a blackMan. Now shoe prints come into play in this case to me in an unexpected way. When detectives go to the house and they look outside the house, it is snow, fresh snow and they find shoe prints. They follow these shoe prints from the Sprog house all the way to a local store. The shop owner points to a black customer that has just purchased some crackers and cheese and before he can leave the police stop him. And do his shoes match the shoe prints that are found at the crime scene in snow? They do.
