The Paradox of Capitalism

Mark Fisher says that when capitalism becomes its own self fulfilling prophecy, then we enter into capitalist realism. And he provides the following definition: It is a widespread sense that not only is capitalism the only viable political and economic system, but also that it is now impossible even to imagine a coherent alternative to it. He uses children of men once more to think about this; Capitalism relies pretty heavily on the state and what the state has to offer.
