The Blood of the Sacrifice

In Paul's vision there, it's like the church exists on top of the mercy seat where Jesus has cleansed that space. So much of the sacrifice was cleansing not this judicial, Hey, I'm killing the animal because I'm pouring out my wrath on the animal instead of you. But instead it was the cleansing of the pollution or corruption of the temple that was at issue. We're all inhabiting this polluted space where the cosmic power of spit, our sin has rained and now Jesus has freed it up.
