7 to 10% of all older adults in the ED have delirium. If you haven't diagnosed delirium recently, there's unfortunately a good chance you may have missed it. Delirium comes in three subtypes: hyperactive delirium, hypoactive deliriam and altered level of consciousness or disorganized thinking.
