The Idea of Neighborhoods in Planning

The idea that you have neighborhoods to kind of compartmentalize the largeness of a place or create order is really fascinating to me too. People don't want to live their lives on the scale of thousands and thousands of people. And so the interesting thing is about neighborhoods, you know, looking across culturally is that sometimes they're imposed from the start. Today, that whole plan development is a neighborhood. It's how the city and Phoenix here as Phoenix expands.
