Life: “What do you want?”
You: “Umm..huh?”
Life: “Yeah, what do you want from a job opportunity? Like, haven’t you thought about how many times a week you want to operate? You sure you want 7 hours of clinic on Mondays?”
You: “Wow, nobody has ever asked me that. Are you sure you’re talking to me?”
Life: “Of course, I’m talking to you!”
You: “7 hours of clinic?!?! On Mondays?! Just reminds me of residency. I’ve always dreamed of having Mondays off, then working 4 days of the week. Is that asking too much?”
Life: “Dude, this is your life! You spent all these years working with other peoples’ schedules, sacrificing your own preferences. C’mon, it’s time to cash in.
You: “Well, if you say so. Mondays off, need a Physician Assistant for rounding.
Life: “Okay, that’s all?!?”
You: “I’m starting to like this! I can get used to this.”
