Is the Department of Justice in Charge of the Crisis Accommodation?
Some new arrivals into this country are attually now staying in tents. The government has said during the summer that the use of these tents is only temporary, and its an exceptional response to an exceptional situation. But don't we have a history in this country of holding on to temporary housing measures well into the long term? We're not talking about closing emergency centres, as we expected to. We're talking about tents with this accommodation crisis. What does this all mean when it comes to that goal of ending direct provision by 20 24? 20 24 now seems like a very unrealistic target,. I think we've got to be frank, that 20 24 isn't realistic.
