What Was It Like Being First Lady of California?
When she had her first child, i had two anchor jobs. One was a place of business and one was family. And i knew that when i started to have children, my career shifted. When i became first lady, thought i could keep my journalism in a kind of diminished capacity. But they felt like now it would be problematic for them. They made the decision. For me, i think the whole period, becoming first lady, getting fired, all these things all happened in about a six week period. So it was tumultuous. Wasn't a choice, but feel that your career had to kind of go on n pause a little bit,. or transition to something else.
