I think it's really going to depend on the person. I feel like every language learning newbie is going to fall into one of two categories. They're either motivated by understanding so they would want to go into the comprehensible input. And then you have the second group of people who are motivated by just keeping their interest and that's going to keep them Immersing. So a lot of people nope out of graded content, especially if all you can find is stuff that's really dry and really boring.
