I Grew Used to the Rumours of an Evangelical Minister
I began to sense that she was hiding something. We were finally given our first pay check. I had enough for rent and food, the extra left over felt luxurious. She grew comfortable enough with me not to hide that as she worked, she was listening to the voice of an evangelical minister in her ear phones. But i didn't mention the rumours to annais - who was i to ruin her pleasure in this form of god?
