Shankara's Commentary on the Vedanta-Sutra

We don't know exactly when Shankara lived. The traditional date of his birth is 788AD, but it's safe to assume he was active in the 8th century. He wrote commentaries on several Upanishads and on the Bhagavad Gita. His most celebrated work though is without doubt his lengthy commentary or bhasya on the Vedanta-sutra ascribed to Badarayana.
