The Gospel Narrative and the Transfiguration
The transfiguration is a kind of completely other, again, extraordinary anomalous extreme event. After that, there's a complete direct line to being killed in Jerusalem and being killed by an institutional methodology. And this all makes sense because Jesus doesn't defend himself. He allows himself to be killed. If you look at the transitional points of the baptism and the transfiguration as extraordinary and normalist extreme experiences, then you just get a different reading of what's actually going on.
