Interlingua - The Evolution of the Natural Language

In the 1930s, a wealthy heiress became interested in linguistics and IALs. She and her husband established an organization that studied oxlings to make scientific literature more widely available. In terms of grammar, they cut out everything that did not occur in all of their main languages. It looks like about 1.3 billion people speak English or a romance language as either their first or second language.
