The Difference Between English and German Local Studies on Critical Theory
Yupok is translated into many languages, partly because English has a wider population. When you were writing this book, you were to some extent a translator as well. I hope none of you will lose the special selective affinity to philosophy. We both language sometimes, you know, we often say a poem is improved in translation but sometimes we clarify something. But also we may lose nuance and creative possibilities that were not there in the original. So it's a process that is endless. And I have great appreciation of the act of translating.
