The Problem With the Central Bank of Russia
Russia's central bank had $600 billion in official reserves at the start of Ukraine invasion. It very rarely happens that a country touches another country's central bank, says Peter Bergen. "This is sort of really going back to 19th century, the 19th century way of managing money" The sanctions still haven't made any impact on Russia's oil sales since they were put into place 24 months ago.
