The Importance of Forgiveness

The parable of Abel and the wicked servant in Luke 20 or Luke 19 22 is a great example too of how gracious dealings with us are really what's most offensive to people. People can handle it when you have a God of the law because that accords with exactly the way they're used to thinking and acting. But when God is gracious, like in the other parable,. when he acts according to that which is his true nature, that of love, that's when people get upset.
