The Problem With Darwin and God

Darwin wrote letters to people like Asa Gray, saying you can be a theist and believe in my theory. There's nothing in my theory which is atheistic - he explicitly says this. The problem of evil has always been the Achilles heel of Christianity: how do we understand cancer, tornadoes, death, disease, suffering, et cetera? Islam is completely different from that; it has many powerful compelling answers for these issues. And I wish Christianism had those answers but chooses not to.
