The Life and Times of a Crab Fisherman
Jeff Hathaway had been fishing in the Bering Sea for almost 40 years. The destination's bait freezer was already full, but fishing had apparently been slow out on the grounds. Fishermen used squid and cod and herring to attract crab to their pots. Since 1999, no one has called the Coast Guard to inspect boats before they leave port.
