Engine Two Control System Fault Message
The crew turned on the engine anti ice for both engines to see how it would affect the e p r fluctuation. But there was no change in the behavior. So again, they call the maintenance center and begin talking to another maintenance engineer who had been briefed on the situation. He said he'd seen this kind of fluctuation before. It could be related to the variable stateor vein system. I don't know what these were. The variable stator veins are adjusted during starting acceleration, deceleration and seargh conditions. They maintain the correct operation of the intermediate pressure and high pressure compressures,. compressures, pony compressors within the operational envelope.
