Agag and the Canaanites

Agag was a Macbeth type figure, a Shakespearean tragedy. His execution would have been and should be seen like we viewed the assassination of a psalm in Bin Laden. If Saul had truly obeyed the Lord's command, his people would not have faced potential extermination 600 years later. To obey is better than sacrifice. There's no greater obedience to God than denying ourselves, taking up our cross and following Jesus wherever he leads.
