A thousand years ago, cats were thought to consort with the devil. The more people distrust and dislike cats, the more they started to do horrible things to them. They would put cats in a barrel and then run the barrel through with swords. Also throwing them out of windows. So what would happen when they would defenestrate these cats? The cats would land on their feet and walk away.
