Sirdar igbal ali shah was among the first of the sufi leaders to express sufi tenets and methods in terms which the west could understand. He laid the foundation of much of the growing interest, which now finds expression, both in this country and throughout the english speaking world. The powerful link between the realized men and women of each tradition can be seen by the fact that the sirdar retained his skill in working with a local context.
