Walter is a Welsh Canadian author of science fiction and fantasy. She started writing as early as 13 years old, but her first book, The King's Peace, was published in 2000. Farthing starts to get a little more sci-fi-ish, a little like alternate history. Her ninth novel overall. It's got semi-autobiographical elements in it.
