Neymar's writhing on the ground was so exaggerated and so comical that it was actually sent up in an ad that KFC made in South Africa. In Brazil, he was somebody who carried the expectations of his country on his shoulders. The question with Neymar is where does he stand vis-a-vis Brazilian democracy? And in the run up to the most recent election, he sided on the wrong side, in my opinion, both morally and politically.
