The Role of the Magic Wand in Ceremonial Magic
The wand represents the element fire in ceremonial magic. Some people affix gems along the length of them, pointed or faceted gems to the tip. Sometimes copper is used in wand construction as well due to its association with conductivity. You could use ribbons of significant colors and wrap them around your wand.
