The Spanish Inquisition

Pope sixtus issued a bull in 1478 calling for an inquisition in Spain. The monarchs Ferdinand and Isabella decided to try apologetics first. Most of the excesses that we see in the Spanish Inquisition take place in the initial period before Torquemada takes over. There are other myths here as well, Si, that it was anti-Semitic.
