Command Module Pilot Jack Swigert must follow page upon page of instructions describing seemingly countless circuit breakers and switch throws. Econ flight controller John Aaron has been at the forefront of devising the scheme that Swigert now has to put into practice. If this were a normal mission, the service module would still be attached and its fuel cells would be powering Odyssey until just half an hour before re-entry. As it is, the wrecked service module has already been jettisoned but three hours of power are still needed to run a host of functions.
