What's the Difference Between Zero to One Versus One to N?

Doyle: I love the central premise in it of zero to one verses one to n and using that as a lens to think about different companies. But then the examples he gives, i don't actually know exactly what he means. So i guess i'm not a hundred % sold on consistency of his concept. Doyles: facebook is not a good example of his concept, but i think his concept is generally right.
