Java and AWT - What's the Difference?
Back in the day, if you ran a Java application on the client side, it was going to look and feel so different. Even with swing their modern tools, it didn't feel native Windows. And even today, there's this tension between like frameworks that allow you to write like apps that run everywhere, but they don't have quite the native look and feel.
