Is Baptism the Cause of Regeneration?
Baptismal regeneration is usually defined as the cause of salvation. But it can be spoken of as regenerative without necessarily being the cause of regeneration, he says. He argues that baptism does have a symbolical character and stands as this represented narrative act of the public visible formal expression of salvation including regeneration.
