I think the mailing list audience is slightly different than the BIP actual. You get the best responses once you've actually implemented something like working code, either in Bitcoin core or somewhere else. So they just write a proposal and don't give it a number and put it on the mailing list. Right. Well, that's the other problem. Marshall, I either ignore you or because they'll be tired of even pointing out that your proposal is not fleshed out enough. At least that's my view.
