Cancel Culture
Cancell culture is a dynamic where various tactics are used, and, i would say, abused, for the purposes of exercising social power to silence debate. Often this is fueled by social media controversies and takes place on social media platforms but it's hardly limited to that medium. In a nutshell, what cancel culture does is it paralyzes the free flow of ideas and information that goes against particular ideological dogmas. It is an attempt to win arguments, not by engaging with the substance of what's on offer, but by making debate completely impossible.
