The New Narrative of Price Gouging
The former vice chair of the US Federal Reserve said it was companies essentially price gouging that was a main driver of inflation. A few days ago, we saw the Bank of England governor mentioned that retailers were overcharging customers. We don't know the degree to which price setting by large players in markets is the reason prices are going up, but more people are becoming aware that that's part of the mix.
