How to Survive a Fire
The plants in this forest are accustomed to regular fires. They're adapted to not only survive one of the most destructive forces on the planet, but to thrive on it. The dominant tree here is called the pitch pine. It has really thick plated bark that protects it from flames. And even if you do manage to torch the trees, they invest heavily in their roots and re-sprout.
