The Myth of Jesus
The mythicist position, it seems to be that the first generation of Christians believed in a purely cosmic savior who never existed on earth. So by the time of Tacitus, Christians would have firmly believed in a historical Jesus. But these early apostles, they believe that Jesus had a physical body. It was just in the firmament of the heavens.
