The History of Rome

The Rise and Fall of the Roman Empire
One of my favorite groups of people, and no doubt one of the least popular group in their own time, were the poor philosophers. These were men who often had no prospects and no hope of any work beyond dull manual labor. The streets of Rome would have been a less vibrant place without their angry harangs and subsequent requests for cash. Next week we're going to go on a tour of the provinces and wrap our heads around what the Romans controlled. That will bring us up to the hundredth episode, which I'm really looking forward to since you guys have filled the comment thread with some great questions.
