But it would have to take into account legitimate security concerns of both ukraine and russia,. which right now have been utterly dismissed as appeasement. Tom woods: From an american perspective,  a rapidly negotiated diplomatic compromise is off the table. It's not even something washington wants because it's incompatible with their currently stated objective.
