i reserve the right to change my mind in a month or even a week. But i think a really helpful framework that came out for me, out of mc gilchrist, was that your brain has a calculator and a compass in it. The more uncertain the environment, the more ants would peel off the trail linearly. And i actually disagree with that. I don't think the process is random. I think the process might be driven by something else. An it kind of reminds me of the nurons that fire togetthe wire together,. way that neural pathways get foned in the grain.
