Even if he had won Waterloo, Napoleon would still have had to face half a million men. To spare France, Napoleon must abdicate and appoint his son as heir. With mathematical license, this period will be known as the Hundred Days. He could live quietly in exile, perhaps in a house in the English countryside. Or so he hopes.
