The Great Schism in the Study of Mysticism
The difficulty of studying mysticism in an academic setting. The seriousness of the claim demands investigationa, it does demand an investigation and openness to it. I think there are established ancient mystics a that are accepted. But to think about somebody who is a professional, a woman, had a very successful medical practice, and yet she's claiming all these amazing mystical experiences. Ah, this se to be a direct affront to a modernistic ways of of seeing the academic life, and even in professional theology. And so all, i think, for myself, therefore, it's all the more important to consider this missing source, this source you'll put out on to the edges.
