Is the New Deal Making the Depression of 1929 a Great Depression?
There's a rich debate among up, mostly among liberatory economist's about whether or not the New Deal actually made the Depression of 1929. I'm pretty well persuaded that there were aspects of the New Deal that may be economic situation worse than it had to be. There's no plausible scenario in which Europe being devastated was not going to have dire economic consequences for the United States as well. We're very different from what was obviously contemplated in the New Deal at its most ambitious.
