Afghan Women and Girls, Their Lives Have Changed So Dramatically
A year ago, afghan women held positions of power. They've been asked by by members of the talleban to cover their faces. For example, we see t v anchors now wearing face coverings. Girls over the age of 12 cannot go to school. I can't think in my head anywhere else in modern history where your life suddenly changes and you are told you cannot get an education. We theyre looking at a pre nine 11 scenario. And frankly, it scares me.
