Compensation in the International Court of Justice

Investment arbitration as a serious field has not perhaps has been born. The compensation debate was very much influenced by assumptions that claims are small, states are smart and if you know if all goes to the dogs United Nations Security Council will intervene. There is something slightly peculiar about content of responsibility more so than in other settings. In the international court of justice and international dispute settlement setting we have now a much greater reliance on vocation.
