The Causal Effects of Fiscal Support on Inflation

Fiscal support was not in response to inflation, it was response to exogenous pandemic and lockdown. So that is good because there is no like reverse causality you need to worry about. We are identifying the effects from the differences in timing. And we also control for any monetary policy that's happening through including interest rates and the slope of the yield curve.
