The Levite and the Tribe of Dan in Leviticus, Chapter 24
Many elements of the story at the end of leviticus, chapter 24 are re surfacing in that chapter. It seems most likely that it was the tribe of dan that excluded the half israelite with an egyptian father. They ended up taking the levite and mica's household gods with them and established an idolatrous shrine - essentially cursing the name of the lord. All of this should raise troubling questions about how the people of the lord treat sojourners.
